Gambling Legalization

In the United States gambling is legally restricted. Although sports betting has a huge impact on the US economy every year. An industry survey found that gaming in the US is a $240 billion industry, employing 1.7 million people in 40 states. But gambling increased political corruption and higher crime rates. States have been interested in legalizing sports betting since the Supreme Court lifted the ban on sports betting in 2018. The interest in gambling legalization is rampant in recent years. Off-track betting started in Connecticut in 1976. Although gambling is legal according to US federal law, there are many restrictions. Hawaii and Utah totally ban gambling in the State Constitution.
