Tim Axelrod Show
KLO 1430 AM (Salt Lake City, UT)
Discussion of Utah's Failing Grade on the 2006 Lawyer Discipline Report Card
April 6, 2006

Salt Lake City consumer affairs reporter Tim Axelrod featured HALT Associate Counsel Suzanne M. Blonder on his prime-time show on Thursday, April 6. Ms. Blonder informed the Tim Axelrod audience about why HALT's 2006 Lawyer Discipline Report Card slapped Utah with a shameful F. She explained that Utah received the nation's lowest ranking because the system is so secretive. Disciplinary officials in the state refused to provide information about the system's publicity and procedures, and Utah law gags victims from discussing a complaint against a lawyer. Ms. Blonder urged radio listeners to expect more from an agency designed to safeguard them from incompetent, unethical and fraudulent lawyers.
