ROGER GORDON, Executive Director
Roger is HALT's Executive Director and oversees all aspects of its operations. A public interest advocate with a lifelong commitment to individual rights and equal justice, Roger previously served as Executive Director of Urban Solutions, an economic development nonprofit working to revitalize San Francisco’s Sixth Street corridor by attracting community-serving businesses that also create jobs. In the 1990s, Roger wrote and produced a national publication dedicated to promoting equal opportunity in the legal profession. After the Wall Street Journal gave Gordon’s publication the Minority Law Journal a favorable review, calling it "good counsel for minority lawyers," Gordon licensed his magazine to American Lawyer/Court TV. Roger received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business and is working toward his law degree from Georgetown University.

THERESA MEEHAN RUDY, Program Director
Terri supervises HALT's research and education programs, serves as Editor of our newsletter, The Legal Reformer, and coordinates production of our other publications. She is also the secretary of HALT's Board of Directors and is the author of several books in HALT's Citizen Legal Manual Series, including The Legal Resource Directory, Small Claims Court and Your Guide to Living Trusts. Terri received her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1982, and has served as a lay arbitrator for the D.C. Bar Fee and Legal Malpractice Arbitration Programs for over 20 years.

SUZANNE M. BLONDER, Of Counsel
Suzy provides expertise and support for several of HALT’s reform projects. She also drafts policy statements and represents HALT’s interests before the Consumer Federation of America, issues Best Practice guides and works with the media on lawyer and judicial accountability issues. A California native, Suzy received her B.S. in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997 and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings in 2001.

STACIE BRANHAM, Membership Services Associate
Stacie handles HALT's membership relations, including requests for information and publication requests. She also manages HALT's workplace giving programs and state charitable registrations. Before joining HALT, Stacie served as a Membership Associate with Satellite Business News, and worked as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager for the Samaritan Inns, Inc., a nonprofit organization helping single men and women in recovery. Stacie received a paralegal certificate from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

PATRICIA ETZELL, Development Director
Pat develops and implements the long-term strategy for all development activities, including foundation fundraising, major donor outreach and planned giving. Pat has more than 25 years development experience, working in her early career in political fundraising and organizing and for the last 15 years as a development director and major gifts specialist for a number of Washington, DC based non-profits. Pat received her B.A. in Political Science from American University.

SARAH WOHL, Program Assistant
Sarah handles media relations, produces HALT’s eJournal and provides support for HALT’s Lawyer Accountability and Judicial Integrity reform projects. She also contributes to other HALT publications, including The Legal Reformer. Sarah graduated from Duke University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy.
